David Harrington is a fine artist and illustrator formerly based in Southern California and now in the Washington D.C. metro area. With a passion for landscapes, portraits and Biblical imagery, David creates art that captures the beauty and power of the natural world, people, and the Bible.
Inspired by travel, nature and God’s Word, David infuses every piece with a unique vision and technical skill – skills he honed at Art Center in Pasadena.
Whether painting a costumed character, a mountain in Yosemite en plein air, or sketching on location in Israel, David strives to convey emotion and challenge himself with each painting.
David’s work has been featured in numerous children’s books and magazines, the cover of Variety magazine, an art show in Laguna Beach and a permanent installation at the Laguna Hills City Hall. He is looking forward to painting his way through Europe next year.
From David: “My earliest memories are of drawing pictures. I drew on anything that didn’t move; floors, walls, furniture, and one time I drew a caricature of my third-grade teacher – not realizing it was on the back of homework that had to be turned in. Luckily, she thought the drawing was funny and encouraged me in my art.”
